These training materials teach the fundamental concepts of building automation systems (BAS) and Building Re-tuning™.
Re-Tuning Training for Buildings with Building Automation Systems
This course teaches building operators/managers how to assess buildings’ energy needs, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement low-cost measures to reduce overall energy consumption and CO2 emissions using a building automation system (BAS). This "hands-on" course utilizes the best elements of classroom and field training to deliver engaging, virtual learning activities.
- Participants learn the initial steps involved in re-tuning™ a building controlled by a BAS.
- Participants are actively involved in scenarios that mimic activities and challenges they would find in the workplace.
- Trend graphs are utilized from the BAS to help understand how the data can aid in identifying potential opportunities for improvement.
Re-Tuning Training for Buildings without Building Automation Systems
This course teaches building operators/managers ways to reduce operating costs, provide energy savings, and reduce CO2 emissions in buildings that do not have a BAS. The measures identified in this course are more prescriptive in nature, and the buildings are primarily served by packaged equipment.
- Participants learn the initial steps involved in re-tuning™ a building that does not have a BAS.
- Participants engage in interactive exercises to practice the re-tuning process by identifying opportunities for energy improvement.
FEMP Re-tuning Challenge Webinar Presentation
